World Thrombosis Day is observed on the 13th of October every year. The day marks the birth anniversary of a German Researcher Rudolf Virchow , who described the pathophysiology of thrombosis. This year’s World Thrombosis Day revolves around the theme “ Eyes Open To Thrombosis ”. The theme highlights the importance of closely watching the signs and symptoms of developing thrombotic events and prompt attempts to prevent the same.
