There was an article in leading national newspaper regarding female doctors in the medical profession. The article was focused on the number of women leaving medical profession only after few years after they graduate. The article was especially heart-breaking for me, as it reflected few of the cases I have seen in my short medical career. The article was based on the study published in the renowned journal. The study stated that, in the last few years more women doctors graduated from medical college than men but that was not reflected in the number of practicing doctors.
There are a lot of reasons that is making women doctors leave practice. Some of the reasons were valid but some of them were totally absurd.
