I have done Cataract surgeries on the basis of biometry, brand new [of two Japanese companies-immersion technique (1st company's) and autoref with keratometer (2nd company's)].I never got post-operative satisfactory Refractive values. Earlier we thought it's all because of A-scan, the concern person checked and calibrated that machine and finally came to the conclusion the machine is fine. Already the 1st company has changed previous A-scan machine and it's immersion precursor shell. Keratometer has been evaluated 3-4 times by 2nd company's persons. Majority of the cases, comes as emetropic, sometimes + 0.5 to +0.75 post operative Refractive values.
Although every time we target pre op - 0.75 to -1.0. We feel that all because of automated keratometry. However the 2nd company's guy has checked it quite well. Please anyone share your expert opinion. Regards
