The subject of flu shots, and vaccinations in general, often divides people into two camps, with strong opinions on both sides. I have always tried to be an objective, middle-of-the-road person on the subject. For the majority of my life, I have gotten an annual flu shot. The analytical portion of my mind saw the potential benefits of a vaccination that would protect me  from a potentially dangerous and contagious illness. All the while, I have been keenly aware of many of the concerns raised by others.
