Most of the time green stick type of fracture is not visualised in enamel of a molar. Patient complains of pain, but no visible cavity, pocket in gingiva is seen or palates. Intra oral x-ray does not indicate any fracture line. After few days of usage, clear cut fracture line is visible.
Till then, diagnosis is ambiguous, patient is on pain killers. I suggest my colleagues to smear the molar surface with Gention Violate or Mercuro Chrome solution with imbibed cotton palate and then clean the enamel with dry cotton palate. A small fracture line is visible to arrive at the Diagnosis.
