A fresh allegation of ragging has emerged at Bhavnagar Government Medical College in Gujarat, adding to concerns about student safety just days after disciplinary action was taken in a separate case involving the orthopedics department. The latest complaint pertains to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where a first-year female student reportedly submitted an online complaint to the University Grants Commission (UGC) alleging harassment by several senior students. According to the complaint, juniors were allegedly pressured to contribute money for meals and subjected to disciplinary tasks, including repeatedly writing the same sentence as a form of punishment.
