Evidence suggests that the delivery via cesarean section (C-section) has nearly doubled in two decades worldwide and has reached "epidemic" proportions in some countries. According to the studies, millions of women each year are putting themselves and their babies at unnecessary risk by undergoing C-sections at rates that have virtually nothing to do with evidence-based medicine.
