While incidence and prevalence rates show slight declines globally, mortality and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) related to these disorders continue to rise, particularly among older adults. Women generally exhibit higher incidence and prevalence, whereas men experience higher mortality. Regional disparities reveal that lower Socio-demographic Index (SDI) regions shoulder a disproportionate burden, aggravated by limited healthcare access.
