The Government of India has revamped its Anaemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) programme by including low birth weight (LBW) babies up to six months of age as the seventh beneficiary group for the first time. The revised strategy expands the program's focus beyond iron supplementation to strengthen testing, treatment, nutrition, and digital tracking. The existing 6×6×6 framework has been upgraded to a 7×7×7 strategy, introducing the "Eating Right" initiative to promote regular consumption of iron-rich and diversified diets while adding digital tracking as the seventh institutional mechanism.

The program also transitions from the T3 approach (Test, Treat, Talk) to T4 (Test, Treat, Talk, and Track) to ensure continued monitoring after diagnosis and treatment.
