In our country, people from every religion do fast. In some religions, fasting is very strict even water is not allowed during the period of fast which last even for some days in continuation. Such people feel exhausted and dehydrated and get admitted to govt hospital and mob insist for IV fluids. Even in such condition patient refuses to eat or drink orally. They just say that fast is the order of religion.
And this complaint is fairly common in people from a particular religion. They feel there is a restriction in taking food orally but has no restriction on IV fluid that is available free of cost in govt hospitals. Should we waste IV fluid in the name of religion? Kindly give your opinion.
