With the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine on the cards, the Maharashtra government has urged doctors and nurses to volunteer as “vaccinators” for the nationwide vaccination program. To enable the effective administration of the COVID-19 vaccine, the government has undertaken a massive exercise. As a part of it, the government will collect information about doctors and paramedical staff from private hospitals and nursing homes.
The program is to be known as the “vaccine beneficiary management system.” Parallelly, the government has asked healthcare units from public and private sectors to submit details of the healthcare professionals who will first receive the vaccine.
