Allergic Vs Non-Allergic Rhinitis, Clinical Recommendations Rhinitis, although not a fatal disease, significantly affects the quality of life of patients. Both allergic rhinitis (AR) and non-AR are risk factors for the development of asthma. Also, rhinitis has been noted in several other disorders like Wegener’s granulomatosis, sarcoidosis and Churg–Strauss syndrome. Therefore, patients presenting with nasal symptoms accurate diagnosis and management is necessary to treat rhinitis and avoid complications arising due to other conditions.
