Under Asthma section from Annals of Thoracic Medicine published in 2019 Asthma is a common chronic disorder of the airways which has an increased prevalence in Saudi Arabia. Its prevalence has a significant impact on society. According to a meta-analysis data(1990 to 2000), there has been an increase in the incidence of asthma in Saudi Arabia. Thus, as part of the pledge of the Saudi Thoracic Society towards promoting respiratory health, the Saudi Initiative for Asthma (SINA) had designed asthma diagnosis and management guideline.
