In a milestone achievement for Indian healthcare, doctors at one of the research institutes in Gurugram have rewritten the future for children suffering from Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Through a decade-long journey of innovation, compassion, and clinical excellence, the hospital’s paediatric bone marrow transplant team has achieved world-class success rates, positioning India among the global leaders in advanced paediatric transplant care. The landmark study, recently published in the international journal Haemoglobin, analysed the outcomes of 100 paediatric SCD cases treated between 2015 and 2024.
