Madras high court granted bail to the medical officer (MO) of the Government Hospital in Ambur in a case filed against him for allegedly insulting the national flag, with a condition that he hoists the national flag for a week daily. After hosting he will salute it and will sing national anthem daily in morning for one week in hospital premise. He approached the high court seeking bail in connection with the case filed against him for allegedly insulting the national flag during an Independence Day programme held on the premises of the GH on August 15. When the national flag was hoisted and the national anthem being sung, he was seen talking over the mobile phone.
