head nodding in 2 mnth old male infant

6 mtnhs back i noticed it in gen check up and initially explained it head adjustment for conveinence.but constantly sideways head turning rt to lt and viceversa  provoked me to palpate his pulse which clinched the diagnosis.how and what. no further clues pl.
