The Goa State Government is all set to launch a diabetic care program on 20 th September 2018. The program aims to map the diabetic population through a registry and provide them with free insulin. The health minister said that training will be provided to the staff which will enable them to run foot clinics at primary health centers, sub-district hospitals, and the Goa Medical College.
The government will soon launch preventive programs to detect borderline cases. By providing free medicine, insulin and dialysis facility for diabetes patients, the state government is working on ensuring the success of this program. Source: Economic Times
