Haemorrhoids (dilatation  of veins  around  anorectal  region) is not a primary disease  . It is  always   secondary   manifestation  of other diseases  in  the human  body. If we treat  the primary  cause haemorrhoids will automatically  regress and cured. The  complicated  Haemorrhoids- thrombosed/ bleeding, malignant should  be treated  primarily. For  bleeding haemorrhoids, Colonoscopy should be  performed prior  to any surgical  intervention.

For thrombosed haemorrhoids, haemorrhodectomy can be done on urgent  basis or drainage of haematoma in unfit  patients /NSAID can be  advised. Histopathological  examination of the exised veins / lump /Haemorroid should be done. In present era of CPA and health  insurance , medical  councils  , insurance  companies  should   made  mandatory Colonoscopy before any bleeding  haemorrhoidal disease surgical intervention.
