Researchers say, by 2045 almost 22% of the world’s population will be obese. The prevalence of diabetes would increase from 9% to 11.7% resulting in one out of every eight people to suffer from type 2 diabetes. The current lifestyle trends have already made these numbers huge. With time this would be an alarming situation in the world where obesity and diabetes would be there in every next individual.

The scientists say that in order to prevent the prevalence of type 2 diabetes in the coming years the global obesity levels have to be reduced. It is important that the new cases of diabetes and obesity be prevented in the long run to avoid this global threat. Aggressive co-ordination and action would be required by every individual cities where their key role would be confronting these two major issues for a better tomorrow.
