The Union Health Secretary, Ms. Preeti Sudan, has launched the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) segment of the Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) in seven states. This initiative has been taken to provide near-real-time data to policy makers for detecting outbreaks, reducing the morbidity and mortality and reducing disease burden in the populations and better health systems. This is the first of its kind initiative by the Government of India, IHIP uses the latest technologies and digital health initiatives. Ms.
