Truth-telling in medicine is a broad area and often encompasses several ethical issues. Should physicians tell or not tell the truth to their patients in order to relieve their fears and anxieties? This may seem simple but really it is a hard question. No matter what, but doctors have a responsibility to give their patients hard truths about their health.

Every patient needs an explanation of his illness which will convince him to be relieved of the burden of unknown fears.
