In the present era of clean surgical concept operation theatre complex especially meant for clean elective surgical procedures in hospitals/medical centres should be: All patients should undergo shaving of hairs especially in & around operating site by an OT trained barber under supervision before changing the dress in changing room of operation theatre complex. All patients should have through body shower with soap /water & brushing of teeth (oral cavity cleaning) under supervision in OT complex before changing the dress. All Operation theatre working staff including helpers, barbers, nurses, technicians, Doctors should take good body shower with soap/water/teeth brushing in Operation Theater before bearing the OT gowns/entering in OT room.
Can these simple measures will help in reducing operation theatre induced infections & OT work site will be a healthy & an enjoyable place?
