Abdominal wall reconstruction (AWR) is frequently used in hernia repairs to recreate the abdominal wall and restore its function and structure. It is vital to ensure the integrity of the abdominal wall as it protects the internal organs, supports the spine, and helps maintain an upright posture. However, complications associated with the AWR may hamper the functions of the abdominal wall. Thus, post-surgery management is crucial in hernia repairs. To better understand the technical aspects of Abdominal wall reconstruction in ventral hernia and related complications, Docplexus , in collaboration with the Hernia Society of India (HSI), has organized an international update on 9 th Aug 2020, 6:00 pm onwards.
