Many lower extremity tumors are indistinct and non-descriptive, thus creating a challenge to decipher their clinical significance, even for an experienced clinician. This case presents a soft tissue tumor in the plantar aspect of the left foot, which leads to disability in an athlete. Case presentation A 31-year-old male athlete presented to the hospital with left foot lesions that caused pain and walking disability.
History No significant medical history was noted. Physical examination An ulcerative lesion and a hypertrophic nodule on the plantar region of the foot were noted.
