This is a 45-year-old gentleman, who has squamous cell carcinoma of the inguinal region along with positive nodes. He is being managed with wide local excision and ilio-inguinal block dissection. The endpoints of the dissection -broadly are as follows: superior limit bifurcation of a common iliac artery, medially the bladder, in the depth obturator nerve and laterally the genitofemoral nerve.
The inguinal part has medially the adductor longus muscle, laterally the sartorius and inferiorly the apex of the femoral triangle. This video demonstrates the ilioinguinal block dissection for squamous cell carcinoma.
