As per the news, the doctors in Jamshedpur have decided to seek arms licence and also to hire services of private security agencies for self-protection in hospitals against attacks by family members of patients. Concerned over the frequent recurrence of mob violence at the healthcare centres, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has announced to work in co-ordination with the local administration to ensure the safety of the doctors.
In this regard, the IMA functionary has commented that all the doctors have been advised to approach the police and apply for arms license. Source: Times of India
