It is well-established that the COVID-19 vaccines trigger the production of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 and stimulate immune cells to provide adequate protection against the virus. However, there is a lack of data regarding the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines in lactating mothers. Researchers from the Wroclaw Medical University in Poland have found that breastfeeding mothers show a robust immune response to COVID-19 vaccination. The study was conducted on 32 breastfeeding women who were previously vaccinated due to their employment in the healthcare sector. The control group consisted of 28 breastfeeding women who were not vaccinated against COVID-19.
