Osteoporosis is considered as a priority health issue in women by WHO as it is three times more common in women compared to men. More than 200 million women worldwide are affected by osteoporosis. It is a projected estimation that, by 2050, the number of osteoporotic women would be 45% which is a very high ratio. Proper management and patient awareness are of prime importance to control the impact of osteoporosis.
