A 25-year-old G1 at 8-1/7-week gestation by last menstrual period and a 7-week ultrasound presented with vaginal bleeding that occurred this morning. She noticed a small amount of bleeding and the presence of a blood clot in her vagina. She denied pain and acute distress. She is afebrile with no abnormal hemodynamics.
