One of my neighbor came home with their child 6 month old having loose stools 6-7 episodes watery, non frothy no change of color no fever. Hydration status was good but baby had skin rash similar to diaper rash due to which the child was irritable. I just prescribed a probiotic with zinc supplement and simethicone drops and asked her to breastfeed and maintain good hydration and a rash cream but they were not satisfied with this. Next day they had visited some other practitioner and came with antibiotic drops and claimed that child did well and more over that person had given wrong opinion about the medication which I had given.

He probably was a BAMS doc. I just told them to meet a pediatrician before starting taxim. Was I wrong in not giving antibiotics,  was I supposed to explain facts to the parents? Really don't know how to convince parents.
