In media we are seeing advertisements which claim endorsement by IMA. For example in soap and also in certain paint companies mentioning about IMA. Is there any method followed by IMA for this purpose is not known to me as a senior IMA member. As far as I know, there is no denial from IMA for this advertisement at any point of time. Is there any monetary benefit out of these advertisements to IMA for endorsement is also not known. My senior Dermatologist friend used to tell patients not to use some soap because it contains more carbolic acid.

Any technical committee formed to endorse these advertisements and any recorded evidence available. Or simply letter of endorsement given by the President and Secretary also needs to be known. But on what grounds this advt is supported needs to be explained. A question may be asked why not write to IMA about this. As far as my experience goes even…
