No effective treatment is currently available to prevent or reverse the progression of dementia. Researchers have been exploring ways to prevent dementia by managing its risk factors. In one such effort, researchers from Germany investigated the association between serum vitamin D status and vitamin D supplementation and the risk of all-cause dementia, Alzheimer’s disease , and vascular dementia.
