Government through National Dialysis Program is planning to establish more dialysis centers at district place and going to train junior doctors to share the load of nephrologists. This recent initiative will be helpful to build better infrastructure in the rural region with the more skilled profession to manage the burden of patients with renal failure across the country. Comparing with the data of last fifteen years, kidney patients are almost doubled in the number and currently only 1400 nephrologists are treating them.
It has explored shocking ratio of only one nephrologist per ten thousand patients.
