Recently one of my patients went to a 5 star hospital to meet a super specialist.After waiting for long time,his turn came-he was taken care by the duty doctors and the super specialist gave him one minute and did not even touch the patient -consultation fee Rs 750/- It was like Thirupathi Balaji darshan where you stand for long hours and see the deity for flash of a second. Here the patient had only one minute with the super doctor. We have been taught to talk to the patient, see the patient, touch and examine him(feel the patient), see with your eyes and hear with your ears.
Here no such thing. How can we justify such a consultation?
