Keratoconus is a well-known cause of severe vision impairment and reduced quality of life. It is a bilateral progressive thinning of the central and paracentral cornea with myopia and irregular astigmatism. It is one of the major problems affecting sight with progressive corneal ectasia. The management of keratoconus includes the use of glasses and contact lenses and performing keratoplasty.
