This article aims to provide changing views of proper child care and legal issues associated with pediatric patients in dental care. Management of pediatric patients is often difficult, especially in dental care. Also, the law pertaining to accountability for pediatric dental patient treatment largely reflects standards of care established by the pediatric dentistry profession. Performing dental treatments on pediatric patients who present behavioral problems is usually a great clinical challenge.
