High Cholesterol is responsible for atherosclerosis and heart diseases since decades, nobody has challenged this fact. Recently studies conducted across few countries challenged this fact. According to one newspaper, "Controversial report claims there's no link between 'bad cholesterol' and heart disease," while another newspaper states: "Bad cholesterol helps you live longer." Researchers chose 30 studies in total to analyse, out of that 28 studies looked at the link with death from any causes.
Twelve found no link between LDL and mortality, but 16 actually found that lower LDL was linked with higher mortality risk the opposite to what was expected.
