A 50 year old man died at home. He was not in good relationship with his wife, his daughter was in influence of his mother. Firstly, family gave a news item stating time and place of cremation. When other family members i.e brother and sister of deceased reached, they were told about body donation as per his last wish. Family members raised objections strongly. But, deceased wife and daughter donated body to a private medical College. Important issues associated with this Donation are: 1) There was no written document of voluntary donation of body by deceased.
2) Unable to tell the exact time of death. 3) There was a planning of cremating the body then why suddenly thought of body Donation. 4) There was government Medical College also in the city. Can there be involvement of money in this body donation? Was it legal? Kindly share your opinion on this case.
