Gluten diets can trigger the inflammation and intestinal damage in people with celiac disease. As celiac disease is linked to coronary heart disease, gluten free diets have been recommended in celiac disease patients to reduce further complications. However, this has raised concern among people and in the medical community whether gluten diet increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases and other complications among healthy people too.
