Dear Collegues, Our country is fighting a war with corona pandemic. India is backward in respect to healthcare infrastructure, Doctors, nursing staff and other resources. We cannot fight with these limited resources. The UK government allowed final year medical students to graduate early to serve in NHS to fight with covid-19. Currently, in our country around 8,000 to 10,000 MBBS foreign graduates are preparing for FMGE exam held June 2020 conducted by NBE at home. These doctors have not finished the internship.
The government can free up them to give provisional license same as Indian graduate to do internship work on a condition to work related to corona outbreak. Besides this, the Government can order final year Medical and Paramedical students to work. This will tremendously enhance India's doctor numbers to fight corona.
