Retroperitoneal abscesses are uncommon conditions with abstruse and insidious presentations. Clinical investigation of retroperitoneal abscesses is complicated as there is often a lack of abdominal signs and ultrasound findings. This delays the diagnosis and definitive treatment, leading to poor patient outcomes.
