The recent pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) has wrought havoc not just in the day to day lives of healthy individuals and patients but also in the lives of physicians who are at the frontline managing the jugglery of COVID-19 and other comorbid acute or chronic diseases. Management of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and salvaging the myocardium in this era of COVID-19 can be an equally challenging proposition given the complexities involved and a high risk of mortality.
