A 37-year-old non-hypertensive and non-diabetic male, a banker by profession came to the OPD with C/O low mood, anhedonia, persistent lethargy feeling, a pessimistic view of his own life and that of future, with occasional death wishes (though attempts were never made) for last 2 months. Further history clarification revealed that he had 3 previous full-blown depressive episodes earlier in the last 10 years. There were no manic or hypomanic episodes anytime in his life history, though. On MSE (Mental Status Examination) he is appropriately dressed, appearing disinterested, with a downcast gaze.
