Patient History: A 30-year-old patient had undergone an uncomplicated LASIK procedure for both eyes regardless of the dry eye risk. Ocular Examination: A tear and ocular surface examination are performed on the patient. Meibomian gland disease (MGD) is noted with telangiectatic vessels around the meibomian gland orifices and no expressible meibum from the glands on the central lower lid. Tear meniscus height measured by anterior segment OCT is 202 μm in the right eye and 210 μm in the left eye (image attached).

Tear osmolarity is 310 mOsm/mL in the right eye and 320 mOsm/mL in the left. In addition, punctate epithelial erosions are noted on the inferior cornea in both eyes.
