Although most patient-physician consultations go smoothly, some do not. Many if not all healthcare professionals encounter a difficult-to-handle patient from time to time. These difficult patients have one thing in common- dissatisfactions or a need for something a healthcare provider cannot provide.
In contrast, for doctors, it's self-evident that they can't meet patients' needs all the time, but that does not always go well with all the patients. How do you overcome such encounters with difficult-to-handle patients?
