One of my patients present with chronic foul flatulance as the main complaint. It is more so after eating cheese, beans or protein diets. They have normal appetite, infrequent costipation. Blood tests are normal, ultrasound abdomen -normal. Upper GI endoscopy-normal colonoscopy also normal. He was given treatment in the form of Antibiotics (ofloxacin, cefixizine).

Also given Metronidazole, Ornidazole,   prokinetics,   prebiotics,    and enzyme preparations. There is temporary relief and symptoms recur. How should such cases be treated?
