Dear Collegues, I am practicing physician in a village. I get patients having Acute Myocardial Infarction very occaisionally. It takes minimum 2 hrs to reach the referral centre where all ccu facilities +invasive cardiology facilities are available . Usually what I can do at the most is to take ECG to confirm the clinical diagnosis, give Aspirin, Sorbitrate etc. My question is - Shall I keep Tenectaplase ( I don't mind investing money neither I have worry of patient paying for it afterwords- anything is ok for me) and administer it within say 15 min. or so ( till ambulance arrives)? I intend to sue it for patients with STEMI variety.
This will in theory help the patient. I had come across few articles of prehospital use of Tenectaplase. Any comments and suggestions. Thank you. --- Dr. Durgesh Samant MD
