A medical practitioner who is the grandson of an ex-MLC has been on a run for three years for submitting fake NBE certificates to Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC). A FIR has been filed against him by the MMC. The accused completed his post-graduation in medicine in 2012 from Kazakhstan. As per the rules of Medical Council of India (MCI), one needs to clear the screening test conducted by National Board of Examination (NBE) to practice in India for which the accused faked the documents and submitted to MMC.
The issue came into light when MMC found two certificates with the same roll number. He has been summoned thrice by the sessions court, however, he has failed to present himself in the court and is thus considered absconding.
