For reducing the constant assaults on doctors and minimizing the consequences, the Union Health Ministry has designed a committee for assessment of aspects regarding violence against doctors. The committee consists of the representatives and medical superintendents of AIIMS, RML hospital, Home Ministry, Medical Council of India (MCI), Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) and from the Indian Medical Association (IMA). On this note, by considering the safety of doctors as an urgent need of the society, the panel started working out forming central legislation against the assaults on duty doctors .
