GCC countries have witnessed a rapid and major sociocultural and economic transformation in the recent decade. The progress of medical education in the region is relatively new. An important goal among the medical colleges in the region is to graduate national physicians who can increase the number of healthcare professionals in the healthcare services. The aim of this article is to highlight the current challenges faced by GCC countries to attain their desired goals.
Medical education is pivotal to a high-quality health care.
